A few simple home hacks that have made my home much more efficient as a busy mom/wife/realtor/adult. 🫠
🌂 Mudrooms are a lifesaver, but really if you can throw a couple hooks up near the door you use as your entry, you’ll notice a world of a difference! Keeping things off the floor is key! Bags, leashes, hats, coats, all go on a hook.
🧖♀️ Our morning & night routines go much smoother with two sinks in the kids’ bathroom! No throwing elbows while brushing teeth and with two girls, I think we’ll be counting our blessings with counter and mirror space.
🧸 We want the kids to play and enjoy the whole house and they key to that is cabinets with doors that close! Everyone cleans up their toys or art supplies and shuts the door to the cabinet and voila, mess is gone.
🧺 When the laundry can stay in the laundry room, I’m happy! No more makeshift laundry lines or setting up drying racks in another room, my laundry room is all set up for everything to happen in there, even folding! It’s something that doesn’t seem that big that makes a HUGE difference in your day-to-day.
🌱 Don’t sleep on xeroscaping! It looks great all year long and you can plant annuals or perennials that bring pollinators to your yard that are fun to watch. Less work, more fun!
