Spring market has finally sprung! While sales continued at a sluggish pace for the first half of March 2026, the real estate market really kicked into gear in the second half of the month. Overall, sales in March were up 38 percent from February as Buyers enjoyed some warmer weather and got busy. Things were not quite as bullish as last year, as sales overall were down 5 percent from this March to last March; but sales at Engel & Volkers really took off in the last two weeks of March. With a strong pipeline of new listings expected to hit the market after Easter, we expect the market to heat up dramatically in April and May. The federal and Ontario governments just introduced a raft of financial incentives for new home Buyers worth tens and hundreds of thousands of dollars.
