What if one 882-square-foot unit could become TWO approximately 440-square-foot studios? 👀

I recently traveled to California to inspect these former military-use units in person, and the potential is hard to ignore.

Each unit is approximately 14' × 63', with sleeping quarters and bathrooms at both ends. Because of the mirrored layout, one unit may potentially be divided into two approximately 14' × 31.5' studios.

Think:

🏠 Student or workforce housing
🌾 Ranch or agricultural housing
🏔️ Hunting cabins or remote-site housing
🔑 Rentals, ADUs or tiny-home communities
🏗️ Larger multi-unit projects

Approximately 40–50 units may be available now, potentially at around one-third of comparable new-order cost and without the typical 12–18-month factory wait.

These Idaho summer evenings never get old.

Around 8:30 PM, after wrapping up work, I walked out the back door, made a few casts in the Boise River, and landed my biggest Idaho rainbow trout to date—a beautiful 21-inch fish. 🎣

One of my favorite things about Idaho summers is how much daylight we get. Even after a full day of work, there’s still plenty of time to get outside, enjoy the river, and make memories like this.

It’s easy to talk about mountain views and outdoor recreation, but moments like these tell the story better than I ever could.

Life isn’t just about where you live—it’s about what your everyday can look like.

What’s your favorite way to take advantage of these long summer evenings? 👇

Birthdays don’t mean as much to me as they used to.

What means everything is having people in your life who are willing to spend a weekend on the river just because they know that’s where you’re happiest.

Last Friday was one of those days I’ll remember for a long time. Fly fishing the Owyhee, camping, seeing wildlife everywhere, laughing until our sides hurt, and making memories with some incredible friends.

It reminded me that success isn’t measured by how busy you are or how many deals you close. It’s measured by the people sitting around your campfire.

That’s one of the reasons I love what I do. Helping people relocate has never been just about buying or selling a home. It’s about helping people find a place where weekends like this become normal.

I’m thankful for another year, thankful for this crew, and thankful that Idaho has become home.

Happy 7th Anniversary to my best friend. ❤️

Seven is one of the most significant numbers in Scripture. It represents God’s completeness, His faithfulness, and the beginning of something new.

That’s exactly how this season feels.

Looking back over the last seven years, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude.

From our first date at Petco Park…🌊

To standing together in my grandpa’s Burnett County courtroom in Wisconsin as husband and wife…👨🏼‍⚖️

To celebrating that marriage with our closest family and friends on Balsam Lake…🚤

To buying our first home in San Diego.🏡

To taking one of the biggest leaps of faith we’ve ever made by moving to Idaho. 🚚

To building businesses we love. 📈

To growing deeper in our relationship with Christ.

To walking through our IVF journey with hope, perseverance, and trust that God’s plan is always better than our own. 💉

God has been faithful through every season. 🙏🏽

Shannon, thank you for being the calm in every storm, the encourager behind every dream, and the most selfless person I’ve ever met. You have loved me at my best and my worst, and every day I’m reminded how blessed I am to call you my wife.

I genuinely believe Year 7 is going to be one of breakthrough. Not because life suddenly becomes easy, but because we’ve learned to trust the One who’s writing the story.

People often ask why we love Idaho so much.

It’s never just been about the mountains, rivers, or four beautiful seasons.

It’s about the life we’ve built here. 🇺🇸

A stronger marriage. 💍

A deeper faith. 🙌🏼

Friendships that feel like family.

The freedom to build businesses we love.🇺🇸

The opportunity to someday raise our children in a place where community still matters.

If you’ve ever wondered whether a move could change your life the way it changed ours, we’d love to share why we believe Idaho has been one of God’s greatest blessings for us.

Here’s to seven incredible years—and to trusting that the best chapters are still ahead. ❤️

People always ask us, “What’s there to do in Boise?”

Well… here’s our weekend.

Friday: We floated the Boise River from the back of our neighborhood to Star with friends, then spent the rest of the afternoon by the pool.

Saturday: We headed up to Bogus Basin for Music on the Mountain with great friends, rode the alpine coaster through the trees (highly recommend 😅), watched the kids tackle the obstacle course, and took the scenic lift to the top for one of the best views in Idaho.

From river adventures to mountain escapes—all within about 45 minutes of home.

This lifestyle is exactly what Shannon and I were looking for when we moved here, and it’s one of my favorite parts of helping others make the move.

If you’re thinking about relocating to Idaho or you’re already here and want to explore buying, building, or adding an ADU, let’s connect. I’d love to help you find the lifestyle that fits you—not just the house.

👇 What’s your ideal Idaho weekend… river, mountains, or a little of both?

There’s something special about returning to the places that helped shape who you are.

This week was full of those moments.

A two-day Mississippi River trip from Hudson to Red Wing and back. Family time at our cabin on Little Wood Lake. Fishing. Skiing. Fresh cheese curds from the local dairy. And watching fireworks over Balsam Lake - the same lake where I spent countless summers at my Uncle Jerry’s house growing up and where Shannon and I were married in 2019.

As much as we love coming back, every visit reminds us why we chose to build our life in Idaho.

People often ask us why we made the move, and the answer is simple: Idaho has so many of the same qualities we love about Wisconsin. Incredible lakes, world-class fishing, hunting, skiing, endless outdoor adventures, and communities where neighbors still know each other. The biggest difference? We get to enjoy all of it with four beautiful seasons and a much milder climate, especially in the winter.

Helping families relocate to Idaho is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do because I know firsthand what it’s like to make that leap. Finding the right place isn’t just about buying a home, it’s about creating the next chapter of your family’s story.

What’s one place that instantly takes you back to your childhood or brings back your favorite memories? We’d love to hear about it. 👇

🏡 UNDER CONTRACT 🎉

This was a special one.

My clients are preparing for retirement and wanted a home that would allow them to enjoy the next chapter of life while being closer to family. After exploring several options, they secured a custom-built home in Nampa that checked all the boxes without breaking the budget!

✔️ Custom build
✔️ Structural upgrades and personalized selections
✔️ Over 2,000 square feet
✔️ Under $500,000

In today’s market, finding a new construction home with this level of customization and value is becoming harder to do, which makes this accomplishment even more exciting.

One of the most rewarding parts of my job is helping clients navigate major life transitions. Whether it’s relocating, downsizing, retiring, or moving closer to loved ones, every home purchase is about much more than just a real estate transaction. It’s about creating the lifestyle you want for the years ahead.

Because my clients are currently out of state, I’ll be there every step of the way throughout the build process - attending meetings, monitoring progress, providing updates, and helping ensure everything stays on track from contract to closing. That way they can stay focused on enjoying retirement and planning for this exciting next chapter. ✈️➡️🏡

🏡 JUST SOLD | Regency at Milestone Ranch | Star, Idaho

Congratulations to my buyers on their beautiful new home in one of the Treasure Valley’s premier active adult communities!

If you’re considering a move to be closer to children, grandchildren, or simply looking for a lower-maintenance lifestyle without sacrificing quality, Regency at Milestone Ranch is worth a look.

This gated 55+ community offers resort-style amenities including:
✨ Clubhouse & social activities
🏊 Indoor and outdoor pools
💪 Fitness center
🎾 Pickleball courts
🚶 Walking paths and open spaces
👥 A built-in community of neighbors who are in a similar stage of life

One of the things I love most about this community is the value it provides. Compared to many retirement destinations across the country, buyers can enjoy a newer home, incredible amenities, and a high quality of life at a surprisingly affordable price point.

After touring the community and seeing my clients settle into their new home, I think my own father-in-law may be sold on the idea too!

Whether you’re looking to relocate from out of state, downsize, simplify, or move closer to family, I’d be happy to show you what makes Star and the surrounding Boise area such a great place to call home.
