It took me several years before I could afford a proper downhill bike, but I always knew I would love riding. I spent many days in the bike park having the time of my life—adrenaline high, and, at times, consequences to match.

Most of my earlier injuries came from those bike park days, so nowadays I tend to keep both tires closer to the ground (most of the time anyways).
