September 2026 Winnipeg Real Estate Market Update: More Choice for Buyers as Prices Remain Strong

The Winnipeg real estate market moved into fall with a noticeable shift in September. Buyers had more homes to choose from, sales activity slowed compared to last year, but home prices remained strong. Across the Winnipeg Regional Real Estate Board market region, 1,250 MLS® sales were recorded in September, down 10% from September 2025 but essentially in line with the five-year average. At the same time, active listings climbed to 4,234, an increase of 14% year-over-year and 5% above the five-year average.
